We Never Sell Your Data

Your financial data is not for sale. Period.

We don't sell to data brokers
We don't sell to advertisers
We don't sell to financial institutions
We don't sell to anyone, ever

Our business model is subscriptions, not your data.

We Never Store Your Bank Passwords

We literally cannot access your bank login credentials.

When you connect your bank through Plaid:

Credentials go directly to Plaid
We receive a read-only token
The token cannot move money
We never see your password

This is a technical limitation, not just a policy—we built it this way intentionally.

We Never Move Your Money

OneBudget is read-only. We cannot transfer funds.

We can't withdraw from your accounts
We can't make payments on your behalf
We can't access your account numbers
We can't initiate any transactions

The connection we have allows viewing transactions only.

We Never Share Without Consent

Your data stays private unless you explicitly allow otherwise.

We will not share your information with:

Marketing companies
Research firms
Other apps or services
Your employer
Credit bureaus

The only exceptions:

When required by law (court order, subpoena)
To prevent fraud or security threats
When you explicitly request it

We Never Use Data Against You

Your spending habits won't come back to haunt you.

We don't:

Affect your credit score
Report to insurance companies
Share with potential employers
Create profiles for discrimination
Use data to deny you services

We Never Keep Data Unnecessarily

When you delete your account, your data goes too.

Account deletion removes your data from our systems
We don't keep shadow copies
Backups are purged according to retention policies
We provide data export before deletion
